Why Choose Elysxi

A provider you can trust

Choosing a care provider is a big decision. You need to know that the people coming into your home, or supporting your loved one in a supported living setting, are safe, skilled and genuinely caring.

Elysxi is a Bradford-based provider specialising in home (domiciliary) care and supported living for adults with learning disabilities, autism and other complex needs. Our aim is to deliver care that is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led – every single day.

Person-centred, outcomes-focused support

We believe good care starts with listening.

We take time to understand:

  • Your life story, strengths and abilities

  • Your communication style, culture, faith and routines

  • What is important to you now and in the future

From there, we complete a thorough assessment and develop a person-centred care and support plan. This sets out clearly:

  • What support you want and how you want it delivered

  • Your goals and outcomes – not just tasks

  • How we will promote your independence and choice

Plans are reviewed regularly with you, your family and professionals so that support remains relevant as your needs or circumstances change.

Safe care and robust safeguarding

 Your safety is our priority.

We have clear policies and procedures in place for:

  • Safe recruitment, including references and enhanced DBS checks

  • Safeguarding adults and reporting concerns promptly

  • Risk assessment and risk management

  • Safe support with medicines, in line with agreed care plans

  • Infection prevention and control in people’s homes

All staff receive induction and ongoing training in these areas, and we monitor practice through spot checks, supervisions and audits to make sure standards are maintained.

Skilled, supported and compassionate staff

We know that consistent, caring staff make the biggest difference.

At Elysxi we:

  • Recruit people with proven experience in learning disability, autism and complex needs

  • Provide structured induction, shadowing and competency checks

  • Offer access to recognised qualifications (e.g. Care Certificate, NVQs)

  • Deliver regular training updates, including specialist topics where needed

  • Hold one-to-one supervisions and team meetings so staff feel supported

We expect our team to treat every person they support with dignity, respect and patience, as they would their own family member.

Local, culturally aware care

We are proud to serve Bradford and the surrounding areas. Many of the people we support live in diverse communities and come from different cultural and faith backgrounds.

We:

  • Respect and support your cultural and religious practices

  • Take account of language, diet and family roles in your care plans

  • Work flexibly around important events, observance and routines

Our goal is to provide support that feels like a natural part of your life and community – not something separate or imposed.

Clear leadership and strong governance

Elysxi is led by experienced social care professionals with a background in social work and supporting vulnerable adults, particularly people with learning disabilities and autism.

We have systems in place to ensure our service is well-led, including:

  • Clear roles and responsibilities for managers and senior staff

  • Regular quality audits and checks on care records and practice

  • Monitoring of incidents, concerns and complaints – and learning from them

  • Gathering feedback from people who use our service, families and professionals

  • Using this feedback to improve and develop the service over time

We are committed to being open, transparent and accountable in everything we do.

Working in partnership

Good care is rarely delivered in isolation. We work closely with:

  • Families and informal carers

  • Social workers and care managers

  • Community nurses, GPs and other health professionals

  • Local authority teams and other agencies

We share information appropriately and attend reviews and meetings where needed, so that everyone involved understands how best to support you.

Free, no-obligation consultation

We understand that deciding on care can feel overwhelming.

Elysxi offers a free, no-obligation consultation, which can take place:

  • In your home

  • At our office

  • Or in a public setting of your choice

During this visit we will:

  • Listen to your situation and what you are looking for

  • Explain the types of support we can offer

  • Talk through funding options (Direct Payments, Personal Budgets or private)

  • Answer any questions so you can decide, in your own time, if we are the right provider for you

You will never be pressured into making a decision. Our role is to support you to make an informed choice about your care.
